Welcome to the Scrawl Demo — a quiet place to write, at any length
This is a live demo of Scrawl — the same sepia paper, the same plain-text posts and rich-text articles, the same threaded comments and search you get in the real app — plus one extra thing: a Reset button in the card below.
Try as owner → Log in via menu → login: demo / demodemo
Explore posts, articles, drafts, settings and all owner features — or just browse as visitor.
100 posts (last 3 months) and 11 articles (spanning 2 years: 2024–2026) — self-help & motivational, plus the story of why this demo exists (newest article). Post a tweet-sized thought or a long essay — everything you publish stays until the next reset. Love notes on the wall survive resets.
Try it
- Posts — tweet-sized thoughts, no title, publish instantly. Plain text, word & character counter, collapsed at 280+ chars. Open posts →
- Articles — long essays with bold, italic,
code, headings, lists, quotes, and drafts — grouped by year (2024–2026) so you can see the archive. Browse articles → - Discussion — threaded comments on both posts & articles, moderated by you.
- Custom pages — up to 5 standalone pages with rich content, like About and Writing tips, shown in the menu after Home.
- Search & archive —
/to search, year/month archive, and a dice for a random post. - Private & portable — password-protected, export as Markdown anytime.
Make it yours
- Use a custom landing page — write your own, or set the landing page to show your posts or your articles.
- Enable or disable posts and articles — turn articles (or posts) off so Scrawl is exactly how you want it.
- Set a separate landing page for you vs. visitors — a quiet writing home for you (owner), a public landing for readers.
- Pick a theme — Settings → Theme: Sepia (the default), White, Baby Pink, or Alice Blue, applied for every visitor.
Demo login: username demo · password demodemo (log in via the menu → login). Or just browse as a visitor and leave a comment — it works without an account.
This demo adds only one thing the real app doesn't have: the automatic reset card below. Your love notes on the wall survive resets.
This demo resets automatically at a fixed time each day — see the live countdown to the next reset in the card below. Your love stays.
